What is an SEO audit?

·         An SEO audit is the process of evaluating websites to see how they are being searched the site is engine friendly. The main goal of an SEO audit is to help you optimize your website so that it can achieve a higher Google ranking.

·         SEO audits can help you identify and discover things that could prevent your site from appearing on the first page of Google. As a result, SEO audits are a key part of any SEO campaign.

·         You see, if you don't do an SEO audit from the beginning, then all the SEO work you do the performance on your site will not be as efficient as it could be. It's like when you build a house on a weak foundation. Eventually it all comes crashing down.

·          However, if you build your house on a solid foundation, it will be a great solid house, and it is rarely cause you problems. The same goes for websites.

·         An SEO audit makes this possible to ensure your site has a solid foundation. To understand how SEO audits work, we need to take a step back and understand how Google works at a basic level.

·         So for those who don't know, Google has a search engine that you could call the spider. And what it does is it goes out over the whole network and finds the web sites, which of course are trillions and trillions of different sites.

·         Now once it finds these websites it divides them into free different categories which are; known pages, crawled pages and indexed pages. Known sites are sites that Google knows Kind of self-explanatory.

·          Crawled pages are pages that the Google spider has actually left to this page and browsed through it. So it has all the information about that page and all the code details.

·         Index pages are pages that Google has reviewed and decided to add index. AKA allows users to find them in Google Search results.

·         In addition, it happens that Google's basic algorithm determines the ranking for website to see where the page will rank once the page is indexed. But so basically Google works at a really basic level, they search pages, they crawl pages, and then add the good ones to the index.
